Oi! I can see your head from up here! The view from our hotel window in UU.

Not exactly the Ritz, but after two nights in hay fields, we were not complaining!

Sveta and Yuri, our friends and guides in UU. We had met Yuri before at the great gathering of Russian
Toffees in Moscow...

A tree covered in prayer flags outside the temple. Bit like the Cornish 'cauty'...

The mausoleum that houses the remains of a monk, buried for 400 years, whose hair and nails continue to
grow. I tried to convince the lama to let me see him, but he was having none of it!

One of several deer kept by the monks at the temple.

Jay and Dave pose by a not very scary tiger guarding the main temple buildings...

Team Scraz and the lovely Sveta...

"Pssst...Hide the speakers that play the disturbingly repetitive chanting like from 'Eyes Wide Shut' in
here! It drives the tourists nuts!"

The downside of being a Buryat - you have to really like mutton. Dave hated and feared these mutton dumplings,
likening them to malignant sea creatures, prone to taunting him with the words "'Ello, Daaaaaaaaaave!" See his post-rally
questionnaire for more details...

Crossing a river by temporary bridge, as the other had suffered 'catastrophic failure' (or a CBF). We saw
a fair bit of that during the rally!
