Another amazing dead-straight road that charges off to the vanishing point. Makes you want to get your toe
down. Which you would, were it not for the profusion of over-zealous traffic cops!
The actually not at all bad motel we stayed in between Samara and the Lada factory, with the stunningly
beautiful receptionist / waitress / chambermaid (sadly not pictured).

Our last sight of Fido before they headed south for Kazakh. They were good company!
This part of Russia was dotted with oil-wells quietly nodding away to themselves, generating income for
Roman Abramovich to buy some more over-priced and over-rated players for Chelsea.
